Description:

The 2009 orthophoto is a digital aerial photograph in which displacements due to tilt and relief have been corrected to produce uniform scale and a true representation of the ground. The data capture was contracted out by the District of Saanich to First Base Solutions Inc. (Markam, ONT, CAN) and captured using a Vexcel UltraCam D digital camera. The images were captured over several days in June 2009, post processed and loaded into a seamless mosaic and compressed using JPEG2000 (75% compression). It is stored in coordinate system UTM Zone 10, NAD83 Datum.
