description: The 2017 orthophoto is a digital aerial photograph in which displacements due to tilt and relief have been corrected to produce uniform scale and a true representation of the ground. The data capture was contracted out on behalf of the District of Saanich by the CRD to Aeroquest Mapcon Inc. (Coquitlam, BC, CAN), with the flights being subcontracted to Kisik Aerial Survey Inc. (Richmond, BC, CAN). The image was captured in a digital format using a Vexcel UltraCam Eagle (UCE) large format digital photogrammetric camera at 10x10cm resolution. The images were captured May 25th 2017. The images were post processed and loaded into a seamless mosaic and compressed using JPEG2000 (75% compression), then stored in coordinate system UTM Zone 10, NAD83 Datum.
