The 2015 orthophoto is a digital aerial photograph in which displacements due to tilt and relief have been corrected to produce uniform scale and a true representation of the ground. The data capture was contracted out on behalf of the District of Saanich by the CRD to GEOSYS Technology Solutions (North Vancouver, BC, CAN), with the flights being subcontracted to Kisik Aerial Survey Inc. (Delta, BC, CAN). The image was captured in a digital format using a Vexcel UltraCam large format digital photogrammetric camera at 10x10cm resolution. The images were captured May 4th 2015. The images were post processed and loaded into a seamless mosaic and compressed using JPEG2000 (75% compression), then stored in coordinate system UTM Zone 10, NAD83 Datum.
