The 2003 orthophoto is a digital aerial photograph in which displacements due to tilt and relief have been corrected to produce uniform scale and a true representation of the ground. The data capture was contracted out by the District of Saanich to Delta Aerial Surveys Ltd. (Richmond, BC, CAN) and was originally captured in Kodak Aerocolor III negative film. The images were captured on May 8 and June 3 2003, post processed and loaded into a seamless mosaic and compressed using compression type LZ77. It is stored in coordinate system UTM Zone 10, NAD83 Datum.
